Scratch My Belly: Perfect Accompaniment to a Loving Family- Meet Squash! Squash is a 4-5 year old papillon mix who came to PAWS after being picked up as a stray by a local animal control. Unfortunately, the finder tied him outside their house for a couple days before calling for help. This guy was understandably quite fearful by the time he arrived at animal control. However, over time, he did begin to realize that he actually had friends. Squash can be slightly uncertain at first, but in no time he will be in your lap, soliciting attention, affection and petting. He will still do best in an experienced adult home willing to take it slow and give him time to decompress. Squash does like other small pups and might do well with another pup to offer friendship and help him get adjusted. Squash will make someone a great companion pup.
