I'm Free! Our sweet Kara is pleased to announce that after undergoing heartworm treatment, she is microfilaria free. She is well on her way to recovery. She can't be spayed yet, but is eligible for foster-to-adopt. That was the good news. The bad news is that after two months at the shelter, Kara does not have a potential adopter. She's a 4 year old hound/pit mix who's just the sweetest and most social pup. She loves attention, belly rubs and a good cuddling session. She is in the process of increasing her exercise and will soon make someone a great active partner. Kara was pregnant, had her pups and then began undergoing heartworm treatment. She's had lots and lots of downtime, in other words, and can be a little reactive on leash around other dogs. She does like other dogs and PAWS could help with management techniques. We are very grateful to our wonderful medical team for changing the lives of PAWS' pups. We're also grateful to all of our social media followers and hope all of you will help Kara find her way home by liking and sharing♥ #imfree #cuteKara #houndpitx #dogsofpawsct #lookingforahome #karastime #fostertoadopt #trainingtime #foreverfamily #stilllooking #pawsomestaff #thankyou
