Perfect House Guest! Sammy is a 3 year old hound/terrier mix who's looking for a place to rest for a bit while he receives heartworm treatment. Heartworm isn't contagious to other animals, but he would prefer a place without other dogs or active cats, so he can keep it cool. Heartworm treatment does require keeping stress and activity levels low. Sammy would love a foster or foster to adopt situation while he undergoes treatment. PAWS will pay for all of his medications, treatment, food and any other expenses during that time. Sammy really is a quiet sweetheart of a dog who is able to keep things chill. He's a perfect fall and winter companion who is content to just hang out and keep you company.
