Dog of the Year! Bubba isn't really looking to be the center of attention, he just want to be the center of someone's attention. He is a sweet and social 5 year old pit bull terrier mix who's been waiting some time to find his happily ever after. He came to PAWS from a local animal control after not being reclaimed by his owner. Bubba is always pleased to make a new acquaintance. He is quick to engage you in a game of fetch, a little tug or enjoy a little of your attention. Bubba walks well on leash, knows some basic commands and learns quickly. He would be a great partner for weekend active time, a training class or hang out and chill time. He knows how to keep himself entertained. Bubba would like to be the only pet, but is polite in the company of other animals while out and about. He is currently in a temporary foster, but would like to find his permanent digs. The Best Thing! Dallas is a very handsome one year pointer mix. He's currently in a very temporary foster, but is hoping to make a permanent connection. Dallas can be a bit timid at first with men, but is very affectionate when he warms. He is playful, energetic and full of positive energy. Dallas is strong and needs some work on his manners so would do best in an adult home. His foster has begun to work with him on his manners, and he is an eager pupil and a fast learner. He would be a great fit for an active adult home willing to keep him busy and continue his training. Dallas loves other pups and would benefit from sharing a home with another energetic pup. Looking for A Temporary Resting Place! Azele is a 2 year old German Shepherd that recently came to PAWS with her 3 week old puppy, Tulip. Azele can be timid and hand shy at first, but comes around quickly and is a complete doll. She is smart, attentive and really bonds with her people. Her pup, Tulip, is sweet and active. She has started solid foods and is being weaned from her Mom. We are looking for a temporary foster for both for at least a few weeks. We have not paired Azele with other dogs yet, and she is a doting Mom who can be quite concerned about her pup. For that reason, they may do best in a home without other dogs or one where they can reliably be kept separate. We are looking for an experienced dog family who can give Azele just a little time to come around and has some knowledge of younger puppies. Looking for Greener Pastures! Clover is a 3-4 year old Chihuahua mix looking for a family to call her own. She can be somewhat timid and tentative at first, but enjoys your attention when she warms. She is a lower energy girl who enjoys a good walk, but is just as content to sit in the sun and soak up some rays. Clover would be a good companion for a trip in town, a walk in the park or weekend away time. She's a nice portable size and is looking forward to being someone's sidekick and copilot. She has lived with another dog before, but prefers the companionship of small, calm dogs. Clover came to PAWS when her owner needed long term care. Buddy of Mine! Braden is an adorable, petite 3 year old Beagle who's looking for a new best friend. He is an amiable guy who enjoys a little adventure and never passed on making a new friend. Braden enjoys following his nose, of course, but also enjoys getting some attention for you. He would be a great partner for long walks in the city, weekend adventures in the woods and training time. He will make someone an excellent partner and companion. He's a great size for taking along for whatever you want to do. Better With A Friend! Dallas and Rex are both young, energetic pups who are looking for homes. They were clearly enjoying each other's company this weekend. Somewhere I Belong! Fettucine is a very sweet 2 year old petite Shepherd mix. She has had 2 litters of puppies and is now ready to be the center of someone's attention. He's a sweet and energetic pup who likes being close to his people. Probably due to his history without a stable home, he needs work on his house training and may have some separation anxiety. He will bark when you are away, so would probably be best for a single family home or similar arrangement. He likes other dogs and might benefit from the companionship of other pups.
