Shasta is friendly, but can be slightly uncertain at times. He was picked up as a stray in New York City, spent some time in their animal control facility and has recently come to PAWS. That's been a lot for a little guy in a big world, and we are sure it's been overwhelming. Shasta likes a good walk, some playtime and hanging with his buddies. He would be best for an experienced adult household willing to give him time to decompress and take it slow. Shasta enjoys a good head scratch, gentle petting and chilling with you. He is a smart boy who knows some basic commands and is definitely up for learning new tricks. He would benefit from class or training time and is also ready to be a great active time partner. He is fine with other dogs, but would also be okay as your one and only. Shasta has a small mass on his leg which needs to be removed, but currently has kennel cough.
