Scratch My Belly: Focused on Finding His Forever Home! Benji is a 4 year old Australian Shepherd who is looking for his perfect partner. He is a higher energy boy who will benefit from lots of mental and physical stimulation. He came to PAWS as an owner surrender when another dog wouldn't accept Benji into the home. Benji has cutaneous lupus which is a skin disease and means he will have to use medication for the rest of his life and avoid exposure to UV rays. As a higher energy working dog, this means he will need an owner who is willing to get a little creative about keeping him busy. PAWS can help with ideas around how to do this. Benji does like other dogs and would benefit from having another high energy playmate. He was reported to have some separation anxiety so would need an owner willing to work with this. He is a beautiful boy who will really thrive with the right person able to provide what he needs.
