Ellie

Ellie was on our waiting list for a few weeks. Apparently, she wasn't getting along with the other dog in the house, and the owners just had to get Ellie out. Hey, sometimes, it happens. Dogs don't necessarily get along and it can be a pretty bad situation.

But then you expect a dog with some issues to walk in. Not a pleasant and shy dog. Not a dog like Ellie, a lovely Beagle/Cocker Spaniel mix, who will crawl into your lap and sit quietly for hours.

If you're looking for a loyal companion who just wants some love in return, Ellie's the one for you!

Powder

I am just nuts about American Eskimos since meeting Shadow a few years back. That shy little boy stole my heart and still has a big piece of it!

Well, this boy, Powder, has come to steal my heart away all over again.

Powder, 1 1/2 years old, was hit by a car and suffered a fractured pelvis and a badly damaged hip. Vets at the VREC called PAWS when Powder's owners couldn't afford to pay for emergency surgery. The choices presented were to either euthanize this gorgeous youngster or fix him up. As usual, PAWS chose to help get Powder back on his four feet.

This sweetheart has a bit of a road to recovery, but he won't be alone. He'll get all the love and attention he needs and deserves to get through this ordeal.

Sarah and Belle

These dappled gals really are sweethearts. Please don't ask me which is Sarah and which is Belle; I'm simply enjoying them both at the same time!

They were given up by their owner who could no longer care for them, which is too bad, because they're really expert cuddlers. They're only eight years old, and I'm guessing that they're littermates.

Of course, we're going to try to place them together, but that shouldn't be too hard since mini-Dachshunds take up about as much room as my foot!
