He came to PAWS from a local animal control after not being reclaimed by his owner. Bubba is always pleased to make a new acquaintance. He is quick to engage you in a game of fetch, a little tug or enjoy a little of your attention. Bubba walks well on leash, knows some basic commands and learns quickly. Lily Blossoms in Her New Home!

Looking for A Temporary Resting Place! Azele is a 2 year old German Shepherd that recently came to PAWS with her 3 week old puppy, Tulip. Azele can be timid and hand shy at first, but comes around quickly and is a complete doll. She is smart, attentive and really bonds with her people. Her pup, Tulip, is sweet and active. She has started solid foods and is being weaned from her Mom. We are looking for a temporary foster for both for at least a few weeks. We have not paired Azele with other dogs yet, and she is a doting Mom who can be quite concerned about her pup. For that reason, they may do best in a home without other dogs or one where they can reliably be kept separate. We are looking for an experienced dog family who can give Azele just a little time to come around and has some knowledge of younger puppies. Second Time Around! Simon is a beautiful marbled brindle one year old Bull Terrier/Shepherd mix who's on the lookout for love again. He is a very amiable guy who never passed on making a new friend. Simon enjoys meeting new pups too and is up for plenty of playtime. He was surrendered to a local animal control after his owner became ill. He lost the support and consistency he needed at a tender age so needs some brushing up on his house training, but is smart, attentive and willing to learn. Simon would be a great partner for active time and would be a willing buddy for walks on the beach, weekend out and about time and whatever adventures you can imagine. He walks beautifully on leash and will be right by your side for whatever you want to do. Simon also knows some basic commands and is willing to follow your lead. Ready for a real Touchdown! Meet Payton and Eli! They are 3 year old chihuahua/poodle mix brothers that recently came to PAWS as an owner surrender. They are hoping to find a home together. Eli is in the photo to the right. He is slightly larger, social and easygoing. Payton, the smaller of the two is the boss of the pair. He is friendly, but can be a little more timid at times. For that reason, we think they would do better in a home with adults and older children. They have lived with other dogs and cats before, so are pretty flexible as to their living arrangement. Payton and Eli are ready for active time and would be great walking buddies, play time partners or adventure companions. They are a nice portable size for travel.
