Scratch My Belly: Couldn't be Clearer! Handsome puppy Tonto is looking for a place to call home! Tonto is a 10 month old Shepherd mix who is enthusiastic, friendly and energetic. He walks well on leash, but is big and would do best with a strong handler. Tonto can be mouthy at times and would benefit from someone willing to work on his training and manners. We think it's likely that he didn't get the guidance he needed as a younger pup. Due to the mouthiness, we think he would do best in an experienced adult home. PAWS can provide an adopter with some training support. Tonto would be a great partner for lots of active time. He would be a great hiking companion, running buddy or copilot for all kinds of adventures. He hasn't been paired yet with other pups, but shows positive interest. He may enjoy sharing a home with another energetic pup. Tonto is intelligent, attentive and knows some basic commands. He is willing to learn and would benefit from continuing his training.
